About

I'm Yasir Kareem — web designer and developer. Design should serve the work, not just look good.

I work from Vienna as a freelance web designer, brand designer, and developer with 17 years of experience in graphic design, visual identity, web design, WordPress, and user experience. Over that time I've completed 293 projects and worked with more than 120 clients across Arabic-speaking and European markets. I help businesses and project owners build a clear digital presence: an identity that communicates, a website that's organized, a user experience that's easy to navigate, and a message that earns client trust quickly.

I started in design. Web came next.

My background is in graphic design — color, typography, image, and print. Over time, design alone stopped being enough. Projects needed a full digital presence: a clear website, an easy experience, a consistent identity, and content that communicates value. So my work expanded from design into combining it with development. Today I work on WordPress websites, user interfaces, identities, logos, printed materials, and digital experiences. Working between Vienna and Arab markets, particularly Iraq and the Gulf, has given me a broader understanding of how taste, language, and audience expectations differ.

These aren't numbers for display. They represent years of work across different projects, clients, and markets, each requiring a different visual and cultural understanding.

Why I work as a freelancer, not an agency.

Some projects need direct contact with the person who understands the idea and executes it. When you work with me, the idea doesn't pass through layers of management and coordination. You're dealing with someone who listens to your requirements, plans, designs, develops, and reviews. That's not about working smaller — it's about clearer accountability. Every decision in design, content, experience, or development connects back to the project's goal.

01

Direct communication

You talk to the person actually working on your project. Understanding is faster, decisions are clearer.

02

Personal accountability

Every project carries my name, so the detail, the result, and the impression it leaves after launch matter to me.

03

Higher flexibility

Every project has its own circumstances. I don't treat services as fixed templates; I build the solution around what's needed.

04

Full-range understanding

I combine design, identity, web, and user experience, so the result holds together from start to finish.

Before I design, I ask the right questions.

Good design doesn't start from colors or fonts. It starts from understanding the project: who's the audience, what does the client want to say, what impression should a visitor walk away with, and what action should they take? Those questions build design with a function, not an interface without a purpose. The goal is a project that's clear, organized, easy to use, and ready to grow.

Goal

What should the website or design actually achieve?

Audience

Who is the project speaking to?

Message

What value should a client grasp quickly?

Experience

Can a visitor reach what they need without friction?

Trust

Does the project look polished enough to move a client toward the next step?

Tools are part of the process, not the outcome.

I use a combination of design, development, and AI tools to organize ideas, build identities, design interfaces, develop websites, and review details. Tools don't make the result — the result comes from understanding, experience, and using the right tool in the right place.

Experience across Arabic-speaking and European markets.

I've worked with people and clients from Britain, Austria, Germany, Syria, Algeria, Kuwait, Egypt, Sudan, UAE, Lebanon, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. That breadth taught me that design isn't read the same way in every market. What suits a client in Vienna may need a different framing for a client in Baghdad, Dubai, or Riyadh. So I pay attention to language, context, taste, and presentation — especially in multilingual websites and identities.

What can I help you with?

I work on projects that combine design and web, from building a first identity to developing and improving a site's presence.

Web Design

Clear, responsive websites suited to the project and its audience.

WordPress

Manageable, updateable sites built cleanly and simply.

Brand Identity & Logos

A consistent visual look that helps a project appear with confidence.

UI/UX

Interface and user experience design for websites, apps, and digital products.

SEO

Improving site structure and content so search engines and clients can find it.

Graphic Design & Print

Print and digital materials that serve the identity and support the project's presence.

I look for results that serve the project, not design that gets attention.

Good-looking design matters, but it's not enough. A beautiful website that doesn't explain the service, an elegant logo that falls apart in use, an attractive interface that confuses the user — these are all incomplete solutions. I balance form and function: the project should look polished, read clearly, work well, and push the client toward a clear next step.
